The Greasy Scotian fly pattern is a creation of Canadian Armed Forces veteran Jonny McCulloch. Jonny developed the Greasy Scotian as a go to fly in the rivers and lakes of the Annapolis Valley. The Greasy Scotian is effective all season long as a representation of a multitude of aquatic food. Dead drifting the Greasy Scotian will entice brook and brown trout to strike. Swung into a current, the Greasy Scotian will trigger a strike from American Shad. This little fly is a multi species pattern which will give you plenty of camp stories to tell.
