We consider the Picket Pin wet fly to be the very most effective pattern for large trout in Atlantic Canada. This fly produces big time and is effective for trolling, stream and river fishing and casting and striping back. It is effective swimming deep, shallow and even on the surface. It is an outstanding salmon fly as well. We prefer the larger versions of this fly which is meant to imitate a sculpin baitfish. Do yourself a favour and try this fly!!
