We consider the Picket Pin wet fly to be the very most effective pattern for large trout in Atlantic Canada. This fly produces big time and is effective for trolling, stream and river fishing and casting and striping back. It is effective swimming deep, shallow and even on the surface. It is an outstanding salmon fly as well. We prefer the larger versions of this fly which is meant to imitate a sculpin baitfish. Do yourself a favour and try this fly!!

The Big Brookies in Maine punish this fly and HRF is where to get them! I like the size 8…..catch the big ones while getting action on the smaller ones…..highly recommend!!
