This Shrew fly is a pattern used for large trout. The pattern was shared by a couple of guiding friends who use it in the lakes and rivers in the Southwest parts of Newfoundland. I have no doubt about it's usefulness in any waters that hold large trout, anywhere in Eastern Canada.
